1OVA in a few answers
OVA is an online ideation engine. You describe what you are looking for: to innovate, communicate, create, or solve a concrete problem. A short dialogue sharpens your need. OVA then puts that need through a set of creative methods, each approaching the question from a different angle, and several hundred ideas come out of it in a few minutes. With one click, a synthesis brings those hundreds of leads down to a handful of usable directions.
OVA does not think for you: it stimulates your own creativity. Its signature says it: OVA, cultivating ideas.
At its core, an AI looks for the most probable answer, which is to say the most common one. That is its nature, and it is precisely what makes it so uncreative. OVA is the result of a great deal of work to force it, precisely, to move away from that. Where a general-purpose assistant converges on the expected answer, an OVA exploration is built to look beyond it.
The final judge is the result: run an exploration on a real subject, and compare.
OVA is designed for people with a living creative practice: creatives, entrepreneurs, engineers, trainers, authors, and anyone looking for a name, a tagline, a positioning, a practical solution, or simply the right words. An instrument presupposes a musician: OVA widens the range, you do the choosing.
OVA was first designed for creativity and innovation consultants. But the service is open to everyone, private individuals included, and reserved for adults.
In four stages. First, an opening dialogue, one question at a time, which helps you pin down what you are looking for and why. Then the choice of how wide the exploration should be, from the most focused to the broadest. Then the generation: each method works on your brief from its own angle, and the ideas arrive by the hundred. Finally the reading and, if you wish, the synthesis.
One piece of advice: give the opening dialogue a little time. That is where the quality of the whole exploration is decided.
About two minutes for the generation. The opening dialogue takes as long as you give it, and it is worth that time.
Real, distinct creativity methods, the classics of the trade alongside those designed by OVA, each approaching your brief from a different angle. Their precise content is OVA's know-how and is not published. What you see of them is their effect: ideas that do not look alike.
Because the good idea rarely sits in the front row. Creative work gains a whole new dimension: that of the gold prospector. Scanning several hundred leads is surprisingly quick, and the more there are, the greater your chances of coming face-to-face with the golden nugget.
Ideas that come completely out of left field have a virtue of their own, too: "That's funny…" followed by, "Hang on, that's actually given me an idea!" Creativity in its purest form.
Because that fundamental question must remain in human creative hands. It happens, quite often, that you come across an idea that respects nothing, neither criteria nor feasibility, and yet is so powerful that it haunts you for days, until you have arranged the world around it so that it can exist. It would be criminal to let a machine coldly eliminate it, and never to have known it existed.
OVA's synthesis groups and orders; it does not eliminate. OVA is a new tool for creatives, not their replacement.
Yes, deliberately. Implementation leaves the field of creativity and enters that of project management, and I want OVA to keep its purity as a tool for exploration, for divergence.
That is the most common case, and one of OVA's reasons for being. You only really know what you are looking for once you start looking. The opening dialogue is made for that: it helps you identify what you are really after, and why.
You do. OVA widens the range; the choice, and the values behind it, stay in human hands. That is not a technical limitation, it is a conviction.
2Who is behind OVA
Good reflex, and a fair question. Everything that follows can be checked without me.
The Legal Notice gives the publishing company, its registration number, its address and its hosting provider: a French registration number can be checked in seconds on the public registers. The OVA trademark is registered. Payment, on the day you decide to buy credits, goes through an international payment provider named in the Legal Notice; I never see your card.
And one simple habit: don't click on anything that comes from a stranger. Type ovaova.fr into your browser yourself.
There isn't one, and the model fits in three sentences. You can try OVA without a credit card. If you like the tool, you create an account, still with no card, and it opens with free credits. From there, credits are bought à la carte, with no subscription. That's it.
By hand, on your public website, because a sentence of what you write there stopped me. I don't buy lists and I don't send automated campaigns. Every message carries the means never to receive another. If you never write back, that too is an answer, and I respect it.
Through the site's Contact page, or at the addresses given in the Legal Notice. I answer every message myself.
3Trying and signing up
Yes. Creating an account is free, with no credit card, and the account opens with free credits, enough for a real exploration. Start your first exploration from the home page and choose "It's my first time here": the number of free credits is written under the button.
No. An email address, a password, and confirming your address through the link you receive. Nothing else.
It is a trial without an account. On the page ovaova.fr/essai, your code opens temporary access with free credits, with no email address or password. The trial's end date is shown as soon as it opens; on that date, the trial and its contents are erased. Before then, export your research to Word or PDF.
The code is strictly personal: it reopens your trial on any device for as long as the trial is running. Don't share it with anyone. A finished trial cannot be extended: to continue, you create a permanent account, which also opens with free credits.
The trial account is temporary, has no email address, and accepts no purchases. The permanent account is yours: your projects stay there until you delete them, your credits are topped up there, and you close it whenever you want. Nothing carries over from one to the other.
Write to me, through the Contact page. Most people would leave without a word, and I would never know. You have done nothing wrong, and I will sort it out with you.
4Prices and credits
OVA runs on prepaid credits, with no subscription. You buy credits à la carte, when you need them. The price of a credit is shown on the top-up page, before any commitment, and the total, taxes included, is shown before you confirm payment. Before each exploration, OVA shows you an estimate of its cost in credits; the final cost is then recorded in your history.
The cost follows the fast-moving market for artificial intelligence. The price lives in a single place, the top-up page, so that it is always right.
Because every method called upon really does consume artificial intelligence, and an exploration calls upon dozens of them. An AI worked to move away from the probable costs more than an AI that converges on it.
So it is both expensive and very cheap: for a creativity professional, being able to navigate such diversity before even opening a working session billed at $500 and… a great deal more… is a very marginal cost.
Because every method consumes credits, and I prefer to let everyone choose their own exploration budget: a focused exploration to rough things out quickly, a broad one to go all the way. The broader the range, the richer the creative work becomes, and that is for you to decide.
No subscription. If you don't use OVA for six months, or a year, it costs you nothing. Credits have a validity period, a long one, stated in the Credits & Refund Policy.
Yes, modestly. The details are in the Credits & Refund Policy.
If the failure is detected before billing, nothing is charged, with no action on your part. In other cases, write to support: the request is examined in good faith, against the technical logs, and the exploration is re-credited if the incident is confirmed and comes from the service. To date, I have never had to do so.
Unused credits are, as a rule, not refundable, with three exceptions: the permanent closure of the service, the consumer's right of withdrawal, and a malfunction attributable to the service. Free credits are never refundable. The exact conditions, timelines and procedure are in the Credits & Refund Policy and the Terms of Sale.
No. The creative value of a result is partly subjective, and dissatisfaction with the direction or style of an exploration does not give rise to a refund. On the other hand, a result that is empty, corrupted or technically incomplete is re-credited.
5Your ideas and your data
Nobody. I have locked myself out of your projects, by technical means. The only possible human reading is the one you authorise yourself, through a checkbox in your settings, unticked by default and revocable at any time; declining blocks no feature. Administrator access is logged.
No. Neither OVA's, which trains none, nor its providers', whose offerings used by OVA contractually exclude training on customer data. The details are on the AI Information page and in the Privacy Policy.
You do, to the fullest extent the law allows: OVA grants you the broadest possible rights of use over the results generated for you. One caveat, which applies to any idea wherever it comes from: a name, a tagline or a concept may already be protected by a third party. Check for prior rights before exploiting a result. The Terms of Use set all this out.
OVA has not developed its own model. It orchestrates several third-party AI models by means of its own method: its sequences, its methods, its analysis grids. The value is in the method, not in the model. The providers are named on the AI Information page and vary according to their quality-to-price ratio at the time.
In Europe, with the hosting provider named in the Legal Notice. Some providers, the AI model providers and the payment provider, may process data outside the European Union, within a framework described in the Privacy Policy.
Yes, at any time, from your settings. Your projects, conversations and results are deleted; only the accounting records the law requires us to keep remain, made anonymous. Any remaining credits are lost.
Yes, to Word or PDF, at any time.
6In practice
Yours, most probably: the interface and the explorations exist in more than twenty languages. The contractual documents, for their part, are published in French and English.
Yes. In your settings, turn on "Choose the writing language": a language selector then appears when you prepare each project. The whole exploration is written in the chosen language, synthesis included, whatever language you conducted the opening dialogue in. So you can prepare your brief in English and hand your client ideas and a synthesis in Spanish, German or Japanese.
The language is chosen before the exploration is launched. Without this setting, results are written in the language of the interface.
Yes, and "Mastery" mode exists for you. Turn it on in your settings: a fourth button appears on the home page, and the opening dialogue comes with advanced blocks where you set for yourself the level of boldness, the expected format, your references, your starting intuition, a sketch or images. The dialogue treats them as seeds: it does not ask you for them again, it enriches them. Before launching, you can read the exact brief sent to the engine.
Two further levers. In the same settings, "Lateral methods" can be added à la carte on top of any exploration breadth. And on the results page, each method can be relaunched on its own to renew its result.
What you fine-tune this way is the upstream: the brief, the angles, the methods. The downstream, sorting the ideas, stays in your hands, for the reason given above.
Yes. OVA is an ideation tool, not a source of truth or professional advice. Its results must never be the sole basis for a serious decision, and certain fields, such as recruitment, credit, health or legal decisions concerning individuals, are excluded or strictly regulated. The list is in the Terms of Use and on the AI Information page.
A checkbox in your settings, "Receive OVA news and offers". It is unticked by default, and I don't write regularly, only when there is something worth telling.
Gladly. If you are looking for the most accurate sentence: "At its core, an AI looks for the most probable answer, which is to say the most common one; OVA is the result of a great deal of work to force it to move away from that."
